Synopsis[]

Deedee, Rooney and Moe hear and see a train coming by, according to Deedee's clock. They wrote a song about trains called Get On Board. Jazzmin arrives and tells the three Doodles not to mention trains to Bus Driver Bob, who they thought does not like trains. The Doodles recorded the song in Audio Murphy's studio, and accidentally tells Bob about the song about trains. They thought they hurt his feelings, but Bob explains to them that he loves trains.

Trivia[]

  • This was the first time Bus Driver Bob came on stage. The second time being The Solo Surprise.
  • This is the second time Moe hides under the table. The first time being Cauliflower Power.
  • It is revealed that Bus Driver Bob is a big fan of trains.
  • The songs that the Doodlebops sung were: Get On Board, Bring-a-Sound-Around and Thank You.
  • Where's Moe?: Moe hides under the table; the "table" is strapped to his back. The table holds a small toy train.
  • The toy train on the table is a Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway battery-powered James and Annie and Clarabel painted in different colors to avoid copyright.
  • Adding to the above, by coincidence, the jukebox from Thomas & Friends' American spinoff, Shining Time Station, made to introduce Thomas to America (which was filmed in Canada for the Christmas special, 'Tis a Gift, the second and third seasons and the Family Specials) makes appearences in Doodlebop Central throughout the series.
  • The train whistle sound (heard in a lot of other episodes) is Canadian National No. 3254's 5-chime steam whistle, from when it was out of tune during the 1980s before it was replaced by a new one that was in tune, due to the old one sounding too squeaky, a sound effect used in movies and TV, especially on Thomas & Friends, used on the Rainbow Sun and Lexi the Cab-forward Engine, as well as Carlos the Mexican Engine in The Great Race, Rocky the Breakdown Crane in his debut, Edward Strikes Out, Victor the Cuban Steamworks Engine in the Guess Who? Puzzles and Timothy the Oil-burning engine on the Tale of the Brave mini-site. It is also used on Gordon the Big Engine in the Thomas media made by Leap Frog at a half step lower in pitch and Ferdinand the Logging Loco in an even lower pitch.
    • Additionally, some other whistles heard on Thomas & Friends can also be heard during this episode, such as the whistle used for Emily's original whistle in Series 7, Peter Sam's whistle in Series 9 through Series 12 and Freddie's whistle and the whistle that would later be used as Charlie's whistle.
